Establishing needs
With such a personal approach to their service, Aspen need a reliable system that gives them the right information - and quickly. When Aspen first approached Bluelinemedia they had a legacy database that provided some of the features they needed, but was very slow and often crashed. This was affecting both the time Aspen staff had to commit, and the service they were able to provide to clients and candidates.
They needed a new, bespoke system to bring together various data within their business. The new solution had to be able to develop and grow with their business, and the new suppliers had to provide reliable, knowledgeable support.

Developing a tailored solution
Working closely with existing Aspen staff, we designed and developed a bespoke recruitment system which took many of the existing features and developed new ones. We developed a comprehensive vacancy search that allowed staff to search for appropriate jobs quickly, and a corresponding candidate database so records could be easily linked. Client contact details were previously being maintained with Microsoft Outlook, so we also developed an integrated client database.
Now everyone at Aspen Gilchrist can access the complete system online, find what they need quickly and jump easily between related jobs, clients and candidates. When the business recently had a problem with its office computers, staff were able to access the same system from home so there was no interruption of service.
